What is this mind-body connection? It’s simple really – it’s the way in which our minds and our bodies interact with one another to keep us healthy, safe, and happy. More and more, Western medicine is recognizing the shortcomings in treating the symptoms without considering the whole person.

2. Beliefs May Be Stronger Than Biology

There’s a saying in wellness circles; whether you think you can or think you can’t, you’re right. That’s because of the effect of the mind on the body. What we believe about ourselves is often more influential to our daily lives than any genetic predispositions. Practice this, when you notice yourself thinking negative thoughts, try to shift them away to positive or at least neutral thoughts.
