Rabi ul Awal Mubarak 2020: The Islamic calendar i.e. the Hijri calendar is based on the moon and is the third month of the Rabi-ul-Awal year. In Arabic, the word “Rabi” means spring while “Al Awal” means first. Therefore, in English, Rabi ul Awal means ‘the first spring’. Because Rabi ul Awal is a month of the lunar calendar, it can come in any season. This day is not a symbol of the actual spring season, but a symbol of springtime or happiness in life.

It began in Medina after the Prophet Muhammad’s Hijrat. Every month of the Islamic calendar begins with the moon. The new month begins as soon as the moon appears. That is, every month starts with a new lunar cycle.

Rabi ul Awal is named in this way because before the birth of Prophet Mohammad (Milad Un Nabi), people were living in ignorance and darkness. They worshiped various deities. They were wandering from the path of Allah. As soon as the Prophet was born, he brought with him the message of truth, the message of Allah. This message led people towards the path of enlightenment, which enabled them to differentiate between right and wrong.

Prophet Muhammad is a symbol of perfection. The people of the Islam community follow their Sunnah to lead an ideal lifestyle, which is not only defined by religion, but is actually beneficial to all mankind.

The month of Rabi ul Awal holds special significance in Islam, as the Muslim community believes that the Holy Prophet was also born in this month, although there is no consensus on the actual date. Muslims often celebrate it on the 12th day of Rabi ul Awal, often known as Eid Milad Un Nabi. The birth of the Prophet is celebrated with great enthusiasm by Muslims all over the world. Many Muslims keep peace throughout the month in memory of the Prophet.
